After services in the Old Post Chapel were complete, Ernie's casket was taken from there to the black caisson. Note the Air Force Honor Guard in the background. It included two flights of airmen (only one is visible on the left side), a four person Color Guard carrying the US Flag and the Air Force Flag, and the Detail commander (with the sword) and his guidon bearer. (The second flight is off camera to the right)
