Comment 
After completing the University of Michigan, Ernie was assigned to Sandia/Kirkland AFB in Albuquerque New Mexico develop procedures and training classes for the use of nuclear weapons. This summer 1949 picture was taken in front of their house. It was cross the street from a golf course that was under construction. The dust blowing off the course added to other dust during dust storms and would regularly put up to 1 inch layers of sand on the yard that would have to be raked up. Note: Photoshop was used to repair significant damage to the original picture.
